This is why I have never gone shopping on Black Friday. This is why I am happy to currently be in a country where Thanksgiving and Christmas are not widely celebrated. This is so sad.

I know what you mean! I had no desire to go shopping at all. I only went to the grocery store to pick up food I bought a couple days ago (raincheck.) I can't stand crowds at all.
The article you posted doesn't say it, but Michelle Malkin (political pundit/blogger) said the woman miscarried. I'm a little offended that Newsweek chose to report it as she was taken to the hospital... but maybe they just didn't get the whole story. Who knows, the by line is for an AP writer.
